SIA „ North Kurzeme Regional Hospital” provides healthcare services to inhabitants of Ventspils and the North Kurzeme region and was established in the result of reorganisation and merging of the Ventspils and Talsi Hospitals. Objective of the merged hospitals is to ensure high quality hospital and ambulatory medical services to inhabitants of Ventspils, Talsi, Dundaga and Roja and the region closer to their place of residence. The said merger has strengthened the hospital’s regional importance, as the serviceable territory and number of patients, who receive medical help, has increased. “North Kurzeme Regional Hospital” at the moment is one of the two multi-profile regional hospitals in Kurzeme and one of seven multi-profile regional hospitals outside Riga.
